There are anti-inflammatory drugs that can be used for asthma and lung diseases, and one of them is prednisone. This steroid, along with some others when inhaled or injected, help to calm airway inflammation in asthma. When a person with asthma has a very serious asthma attack he or she is likely given high doses of steroids in the hospital using IV. There is no doubt that when prednisone is used for these kinds of severe asthma attacks, the benefits outweigh the risks.

The oral steroid medication is systemic, meaning it goes directly into the bloodstream after being administered orally. People are able to gain better control of their asthma by taking prednisone and other systemic steroids. It is good for treating asthma attacks also, as mentioned before. Steroids in addition to other asthma medications to either help control sudden and severe asthma attacks or to treat long-term hard-to-control asthma. There are times when systemic steroids are taken in high doses for a few days (steroid burst), while a low dosage can be given daily or every other day for long-term control. Prednisone is one medication that is used this way.

There are possible side effects that come with taking Prednisone; some which include:

-	Weight gain
-	High blood pressure
-	Elevated blood sugar
-	Fluid retention

Long term side effects of Prednisone:

-Diabetes
-Cataracts of the eyes
-Growth suppression
-Bone-thinning osteoporosis
-Muscle weakness

There’s no guarantee that everyone will experience these side effects, if any. It’s just always good to be aware of the possibilities. Using Prednisone is highly recommended by doctors for those suffering from Asthma and need to control attacks

Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that can affect various parts of the body, especially joints, blood, kidneys and the skin. Corticosteroids are man-made drugs that are designed to work as the body’s naturally occurring hormones produced by the adrenal glands and particularly cortisol. Cortisol, the body’s most potent anti-inflammatory hormone, helps regulate blood pressure and the immune system. Lupus patients can strongly benefit from taking the drug prednisone.

Prednisone is one common corticosteroid used to treat lupus. Like other steroid medications, Prednisone works quickly to decrease the swelling, warmth, tenderness and pain associated with inflammation, and this is achieved by lessening the immune system’s response. Lupus patients can take steroids in pill form, liquid form, topical creams or gels and intravenously (known as pulse steroids). Sometimes the liquid steroids are injected into muscles or directly into joints, while the pulse steroids are given in large dosages through the veins over several hours.

Prednisone is the most commonly prescribed steroid for lupus. It is extremely effective in treating active lupus and symptoms will often rapidly dissipate. Those who have mild case of lupus may not need the drug. Some of the possible side effects of Prednisone include: dizziness, bulging eyes, acne, increased hair growth, fragile skin, mood swings, difficulty sleeping, weak muscles, heartburn, increased sweating, extreme tiredness, red or purple blothes/lines under the skin, and slowed healing of cuts and bruises. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should talk to their doctor before taking this medicine.

Prednisone is also a steroid drug that is used by cancer patients. The glucocorticosteroid is a manmade version of a natural hormone produced by the adrenal glands. These types of steroid drugs (glucocorticosteroids) have a wide range of actions on many parts of the body. One way prednisone aids cancer patients is it helps prevent white blood cells from traveling to areas of the body where they might add to swelling problems, like around tumors. Prednisone also seems to help with the treatment of some blood cancers (leukemias) by causing some cancerous WBCs to commit suicide.

There are a number of ways in which Prednisone can be used in cancer treatment:

-helps increase appetite
-prevents or treats nausea and vomiting caused by chemo drugs
-helps prevent or treat allergic reactions to certain drugs
-helps treat blood cancers like lymphomas and leukemias along with other times of cancer
-helps lower blood calcium levels in people with cancers in the bonds

Prednisone has been approved for usage in reducing inflammation and suppressing the lower body’s immune response. Some of the cancers that the drug is used to treat include: Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma, Mycosis fungoides, Non-Hodkin lymphoma, prostate cancer, Thymoma and thymic carcinoma.

Some of the potential side effects of Prednisone are: fluid retention, feeling bloated, stomach irriatation, delay in healing of wounds, increased appetite/weight gain, susceptibility to infection, increased blood glucose levels, headaches and dizziness. Patients need to be aware of the drugs side effects even thought each patient will have his or her own experiences.

Prednisone is available in liquid form, a concentrated solution and a tablet all taken by the mouth. Usually this drug is taken with food 1-4 times a day or once every other day. Consult your physician on the dosage most suitable for you. Be sure to take exactly as directed. If taking Prednisone as the concentrated solution, use the specially marked dropper used to measure your dose that comes with the medication. The concentrated solution can be mixed with juice, soft foods and other flavored liquids.

Some patients take prednisone to treat long-lasting diseases. While the medication may help to control the condition, it likely won’t cure it so continue taking prednisone even if you feel well. Don’t just stop taking the drug without first consulting your doctor. A sudden stop in taking prednisone can cause extreme tiredness, slowed movements, weakness, upset stomach, weight loss, mouth sores, craving for salt and changes in skin color. By stopping your body may not have enough natural steroids to function normally so these types of symptoms result. Your doctor is there to make sure you’re always taking the right amount of prednisone and he/she will adjust your dosage as needed if necessary. Just always consult your physician on any changes, side effects, symptoms or ideas you may have regarding your health and how it pertains to the drug.

Therefore if you are taking this medicine then you should reduce its dose with the passage of time because it is important for you. The tapering or withdrawal side effects results due to prolonged use prednisone. Due to this reason and factor prednisone is always recommended only for a short period of time. You should use this medicine only for maximum 3 weeks period. In the first week you need to use higher dose and in the second week you should reduce its dosage. Abrupt inhibition of any steroid medicine always results in the development of severe symptoms in the human beings. There are large no of withdrawal symptoms that a patient can observe or face but some most important withdrawal symptoms includes severe pain in the joints, pain in the muscles, mild headache, constipation, high blood pressure, heart diseases, vomiting and nausea. Due to abrupt inhibition of this steroid medicine you can face these symptoms. Therefore it is better to meet with you doctor if you want to stop using any type of steroid medicine so that you can avoid any problem later.

The development of withdrawal of tapering symptoms depends upon several factors like age of patient, medical condition of patient and immune system of user. More and severe symptoms of side effects result in the older people due to their weak immune system instead fewer symptoms develop in adults or energetic people. Similarly it also depends upon the immune system of patient. If the immune system is healthy and resistant then it will produce fewer symptoms of withdrawal. It is not possible to avoid or prevent from these sign and symptoms instead it is possible to suppress these signs with the help of control measures. If you want to reduce the prednisone tapering side effects then you need to use it lower dosage for a short period of time. Similarly you can use the similar medicines for the suppression of side effects. While tapering the prednisone medicine appearance of side effects is also possible but you will face fewer side effects. Tapering or withdrawal of any steroid medicine is not easy instead it requires few months for completer withdrawal. Abrupt inhibition of this medicine will cause the reappearance of disease and its symptoms also. If you are using prednisone for the treatment of fever and allergic reactions then you can observe this problem again in case of abrupt inhibition.

The other effective technique to prevent from side effects is the replacement. You can replace the prednisone with any similar medicine with low strength. Similarly prednisone is available in various strengths in the market. If you want to avoid from withdrawal side effects then you can use its lower strength for this purpose. Therefore before tapering any type of steroid you need to keep these things in your mind. It is possible to reduce prednisone tapering side effects with the help of several techniques and methods. The side effects of prednisone are only related and associated with misuse and over dosage of medicines instead it is a safe and reliable medicine and it has won the trust of millions of people in the world. Therefore if you are using this medicine according to prescribed dosage then you should not become worry about its side effects and withdrawal symptoms. If you observe severe symptoms while taking prednisone then you need to reduce its dosage so that you can handle the situation. Some time withdrawal signs are associated with drug interactions. Therefore combine use of more than one medicine is not effective and better. Drug interaction between prednisone and food products is also possible in this case. Therefore you should avoid from it. Prednisone is a very effective medicine for the treatment of various disorders like high fever, allergic reactions, pain in the various parts of the human body and bronchitis. It is also very effective for the treatment of cough and sneezing. If you are using this medicine then you should not use it for a long period of time because in this situation its withdrawal will become difficult.

Prednisone is an excellent drug which is used by the patient suffering with inflammatory diseases. There are some specific types of cancer and brain inflammation that can be removed from human body using higher doses of prednisone. It is also exploiting for cure of Addison’s disease that is a condition in which the body has no ability enough corticosteroid production. Although this medicine is very useful for human body but there is some side effects such as, it fall our body a more vulnerable to infections. At times Prednisone is treated as prednisone half life. For this drug, there are two types of side-effects. One is short-term and another is known as long-term side effects. Short-term side-effects include all glucocorticoids, high levels of blood glucose, diabetes mellitus patients, fluid retention etc. Long terms side-effects include truncal weight gain, Cushing’s syndrome, glaucoma and osteoporosis glaucoma.

Prednisone is utilized for many distinct purposes including: COPD, asthma, allergic disorders, rheumatic disorders, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, hypercalcemia, adrenocortical insufficiency, severe tuberculosis, thyroiditis, lipid pneumonitis as fraction of a medicine regiment to protect rejection placement of organ transplant. Prednisone also has been utilized for the treatment of cluster headaches, severe aphthous ulcer and for migraine headaches. Prednisone half life is essential for the case of treatment of acute lymphoblastic leaukemia and Hodgkin’s lyphome, Non-Hodgkin lymphomas and other hormone sensitive tumors, in mixture with additional anticancer drugs. Additionally, Prednisone is utilized for the Herxheimer reaction treatment that is common at the time of the dealing of syphilis and to decrease the speed of the symptoms of different Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The system for the postponement of symptoms is unfamiliar.

When prednisone half life is utilized for healing for inflammatory conditions, for example asthma and allergies, it shows a very good achievement rate with good results and improvements that can be noticeable after just a small number of days. With rigorous cases such as certain cancers and in auto-immune diseases, the consequences can not be seen as quickly as these are excessive conditions which require long treatments. The effect will also vary based on the brutality level of the disease and the type. Prednisone is powerful drug and an extraordinarily strong which must be administered by a doctor’s close remark and with the correct prescription.

If prednisone is received for more than seven days at a time then Adrenal repression will begin to happen. At last, this may make the body into provisionally lose the capacity to manufacture normal corticosteroids that results in faith on prednisone. That is why, prednisone half life should not be suddenly blocked if received for greater than seven days at time, as a substitute, the dosage always should be slowly condensed. If the way of prednisone received was short then the reducing process may be less than a week but it may need months or weeks if the patient portion had been remained in a long-term treatment. Rapid removal may guide to the crisis of an Addisonian .

Glucocorticoids perform to inhibit-feedback of equally corticotrophs into the anterior pituitary gland (declining the sum of adrenocorticotropic hormone [ACTH]) and the hypothalamus (lessening corticotropin-releasing hormone [CRH]). That is why, glucocorticoid analogue drugs for example prednisone half life down-regulate the normal synthesis of glucocorticoids. This method leads to faith in a small time and can be a very hazardous if medications are outgoing too quickly. Body must need time to begin mixture of ACTH and CRH and also for the adrenal glands to start functioning normally again.

In 1950, firstly Arthur Nobile discovered the structure identifications and isolation of prednisolone and prednisone. At first in 1955 synthesis of prednisone came out by the Schering Corporation in the laboratories commercially that later introduced as Schering-Plough Corporation by coworker and Arthur Nobile. They revealed that cortisone would be microbiologically oxidized by the bacterium to prednisone. The same technology was engaged to make prednisolone from hydrocortisone. Prednisolone and Prednisone were brought by Schering and Upjohn in 1955, in the brand names Delta-Cortef and Meticorten, respectively. These instruction medicines are now on hand from a large amount of manufacturers as drugs of generic. There is huge number of users of prednisone half life across the world who has received the real benefits of this medicine to cure from the pre-mentioned diseases.

It is a very effective medicine and it is mostly used around the world. Prednisone is available in various forms like tablets form, suspension form and injection form. Therefore it is easy to use by the people because some people are also allergic to injections. Similarly it is present in the different trade names in the world. Various strengths are also available in the market. The side effects are associated with each and every medicine therefore if you are using prednisone then you can observe several side effects in this situation. There are many causes of side effects like over dosage, misuse of medicine, abrupt inhibition of any type of medicine. These are very important factors and reasons for the development of side effects in the human body. Side effects of prednisone shot are also possible in this situation. The mode of action of this medicine is very specific in the human body because it mimics some hormones in the human body. Hydrocortisone is a hormone that is produced in the adrenal gland of human beings. Prednisone mimics this hormone and performs various reactions in the human body.

The prednisone shot is designed and used for the people who are allergic to oral tablets and suspension form of prednisone. Similarly some kids and children don’t take the oral medicines therefore prednisone shot is designed to handle this situation. This mode of treatment is not safe and better because in this case this medicine will affect directly on the heart and other vital organs. A large no of side effects are possible with prednisone shot therefore it is better to avoid from it. The prednisone shot is used only in the case of emergency when fast and quick relief is important and necessary for the patient. Therefore emergency use of prednisone shot is better and possible instead in normal conditions you should not take this shot. Some important and common side effects of prednisone shot are the followings

Prednisone shot can interact with other medicines you are taking. Similarly its interaction with various food products is also possible. Therefore it is strongly recommended to avoid from the shot of this medicine. If you are using this shot then you will more prone to various side effects and problems. Skin problems are also common in this case. If you are using injection of any medicine then you can face severe pain and swelling around the lesion. Similarly redness and inflammation of affected site is also possible in this case. Therefore if you want to avoid this condition then always prefer oral use of prednisone. Prolonged use of prednisone will affect the performance of adrenal gland. Adrenal gland produce hydrocortisone hormone and this hormone regulate various functions in the human body. Prednisone mimics the hydrocortisone in the human body. Therefore after prolonged use of this medicine the function of adrenal gland become affected. Therefore it is also a very important side effect of prednisone shot. Similarly there are also many other side effects of prednisone shot.

Prednisone shot also affect the bones of human beings and it causes osteoporosis in the humans. The case of osteoporosis is more among the women. This situation is characterized by bones weakness and pain. The consumption of this medicine in shot form also affect immune system of human. It suppresses the performance of immune system therefore after that immune system become more prone and sensitive to various diseases and infections. Similarly some other side effects of prednisone shot includes irregular menstrual cycle, high level of blood sugar, headache, kidney failure and elevated blood pressure. Therefore if you want to avoid from these side effects then you should avoid from the prednisone shot. The use of this shot is only better in the case of emergency. Shot of any medication is not beneficial because it directly affect human heart and vital organs like liver and kidneys. Therefore it is a good practice to prefer oral use of medicine because it is safe and convenient. Prednisone is also available in the suspension form or tablet form.
